About Us
The Chappel House Art Gallery & Gifts is located in Florissant, Missouri on Washington Street, just north of I-270, across from Dick Weber Bowling Lanes. Specialties include original works by local artists of all ages.

The Chappel House - circa 1900
Jean says the idea behind The Chappel House is for local artists to come, showcase and sell their works, as well as meeting other artists and residents.
Over 60 local artists and artisans currently display their work here, with items for sale ranging from paintings, sculptures and photographs to handmade jewelry, quilts, greeting cards, featuring original poetry and other handmade gifts.
Both Jean and Gurry are artists in their own rights. Gurry has several of his photographs exhibited at the house, and Jean has some knitted items. Jean also teaches knitting classes at the house.

The Chappel House Today
Jean has been working in scientific research for over 30 years, most of which has been with Barnes Jewish Hospital / Washington University Medical School. Her attention to detail also shines through in the care she gives to The Chappel House and its featured artists.
Both Jean and Gurry thrive on the relationships they’ve been able to build in their community and especially the friendships they’ve made through The Chappel House. The artists at the gallery are all friends to Jean and Gurry and that friendship is reflected the way their works are displayed at the gallery.
Hi Jean
I am a friend of Laura Eubanks who told me about your gallery. I would like to send you images of some of my work, colored pencil and acrylic impasto, to see if it might be a good fit for your gallery. Look forward to hearing from you.
Valerie Rovira
Hi Valerie, Please do send me some images. I am looking for an artist to feature for September. Would you be interested and do you have enough art to do a feature? Jean Chappel
Hello Jean,
I am doing a project in the area and thought I could combine that with finding a gallery in the Florissant area to show my work. You can view some of my work at http://www.holzfurhaus.com and http://www.etsy.com/shop/holzfurhaus. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Greetings,
I am an artist who left St. Louis for undergrad and grad school, however I found my way back to my home here in St. Louis. Actually, I grew up in Florissant, just down the street from your location.
I was writing to inquire about your gallery. I would love more information as to if you have open calls or resident artist or anything of that sorts. I would be happy to send my CV on your request too.
Thank you for your time.
